Lanteri Catholic Cinema Society

Lanteri Catholic Cinema Societ

We seek to study, appreciate, and promote good films. The Society is named after Ven. Fr. Pio Bruno Lanteri, founder of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary, who sought to promote the primary media of his day (good books) as a means of combating current errors. We discuss the selected film and show various clips to aid us in our discussion. People are asked to see the film on their own before the meeting if they are able.

Being a member to our new Cinema Society is easy. All you have to do is come to one of our meetings. All are welcome!

We typically meet on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the upper room/meeting hall. Join us for our next meeting on September 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. when we discuss Andrei Tarkovsky's "Ivan's Childhood."
