January 26 to 28, 2007
A Daily Prayer of Discernment in the Spiritual Teaching of St. Ignatius
This seminar is for all who wish to find God more often and more deeply in the midst of daily busyness. We will explore the "Examen Prayer," the daily prayer of discernment taught by Saint Ignatius of Loyola, through which we are enabled, in Saint Ignatius's classic words, "to find God in all things" in the course of our daily lives. This seminar is the practical follow-up to Fr. Tim's earlier seminar on discernment. It supplies the practical "How to" of living Saint Ignatius's discernment in daily life. It will be a valuable continuing step both for those who have attended the earlier seminar and for those who are approaching Ignatian discernment for the first time.
Instructor: Fr. Timothy Gallagher, O.M.V., S.T.D.

Fr. Thomas J Loya Presents "Who is Man for Woman & Who is Woman for Man?"
October 5, 2006
Fr. Tom Loya, STB, MA comes to us from the Chicago area. His dynamic talk is sure to inspire you. A penetrating exploration into the archetypes and "hardwiring" of maleness and femaleness. Pope John Paul II said that "humanity, its dignity and its balance at every moment and every place on the globe will depend upon who man will be for woman and who woman will be for man." In order to fully undertand this statement, we must first understand who man and woman really are. In this presentation, Fr. Tom demonstrates how God created men and women with different and complimentary physical and intellectual abilities. He shows how these differences indicated the particular ways that God intends for men and women to image the love of the Trinity. This entertaining and insightful talk will help men and women, single or married, to live as God intended us to live in the beginning.
